Walter S. Luffsey

Walt Luffsey passed away on August 8, 2008.  Walt was an outgoing, warm and interesting friend to many, as he was with all of his associates in the FAA. He had a wide span of interests in addition to aviation. He had a personal joy and avocation for music and playing an old cornet with a small group of musicians.

He was a mentor to many FAA managers and a highly respected senior official with the Agency. Walt was involved in selecting several managers and executives into key positions. He is survived by his wife Louise.

He Retired in 1989.
